BIS was responsible for the audiovisual equipment of different rooms. The host and network space was equipped with a multifunctional audiovisual installation, ready for various purposes. Via a 2x2 Samsung video wall (each screen measures 55”) images and presentations can be shown. A sound system for background music was also installed. This powerful BOSE system with built-in loudspeakers was neatly installed in the false ceiling. The core of this room is the Crestron hardware; there is a control panel which provides you, by means of a touch screen, the total control over curtains, lighting, sound and the LED video wall. Our experience shows that an installation is only successful if a smooth operation is guaranteed so that the user (without knowledge) can operate the complete installation. In this way the well-known initial resistance is removed. Therefore we proposed in this particular situation an operating system with a touch screen. This way of working was extended to the whole project.

In a meeting room for approximately 14 persons we installed a multifunctional audiovisual installation. Among others, it consists of a widescreen projector (Hitachi CP WX8240) with a ceiling bracket, a large widescreen manual projection screen with 16:10 aspect ratio and finally a central operating system for controlling the audiovisual event, as well as the lighting.

The library was equipped with two projectors with a widescreen WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution so that a stable image projection is always possible. These projectors (Hitachi CPWUX 645N) are professionally mounted via two separate ceiling lifts in the false ceiling. By means of the lens shift system an optimal image projection is obtained. Built-in projection screens were chosen so that a subtle storage is always possible.

The training room can accommodate 25 persons. Here we also chose a widescreen projector (HITACHI CPWUX 645N) with WUXGA resolution attached to a ceiling bracket, a widescreen projector screen and a central operating system. In this room the training instructor or speaker has at his disposal a SMART Sympodium which enables him to make notes on a convenient touch screen. Subsequently the guests can closely follow everything on the projection (including comments and additional remarks).
